It's better (noisier) doing it with the Pistonheads / TVR boys; big v8's + straight pipes + puddle dock tunnel. I won't miss the 5am starts though and the occasional interest from plod.

Didn't one of the lotus tunnel runners put their car in a tunnel wall at aldwych.
 
There's a fab cafe half way along Southend sea front for a human fuel stop... any chance u can factor that into yr route?

I looked the idea of a London run on a Sunday. :thumbsup:
Maybe docklands, Blackwell Tunnel, Greenwich & The 02. There's never much traffic around there on a Sunday.
 
Morning All,

Have we got some sort of list of names as to whose available for this meet ??

Maybe put out a list of dates so that people can feed back what dates they can make - that way it can be quantified and see what dates has the most interest.

Now I finally have my MC back from some touch ups I am definitely up for a meet - providing it's not the 7th - 13th as I'll be living it up in Ibiza :D

Give me a shout if anyone is up for a general meet one week night / weekend when the weathers good...

JE, we also need confirmation of:
- the date (think most people were available on the 18th Aug)
- start point (outside IKEA in its car park in Lakeside might be a good place, as likely to entice more of the London crew) Tesco's will also be open so people can get a fresh fill of 99 RON
- food & coffee stops (did u see my post about the cafe on Southend's strip or something similar)
- end point - make it a point where everyone can easily get away & near a petrol stn
- start time (7am?)

So far the 18th's OKish 4 me
 
Another suggestion of... Why not meet on the seafront and drive out towards Wakering on some of the country roads out there, otherwise it's a drive down the A13 :headbang:

You need to find a local to help you plan the route - you started the thread :poke:

I am sure someone else local would be willing to lead part of it at least though :thumbsup:
 
I'm in, if the meets at 7 I'd better get there at 6.30 so I don't get forgotten about :tumbleweed:

Can we clarify on date 18th or 31st?
 
So here is the route so far, i will drive it and tweak it, then i will make it into an itenary for satnavs :thumbsup:

Ikea - Southend without going on the A13 or A127 :driving:
60miles


I think i may have to make it a bit longer, what does everyone think?
