An Epiphany - Why I Love My Zed

As some of you may have seen, I tried to sell my Zed this summer, preceding a temporary jaunt abroad with work.

I didn't manage to sell the car, and do you know what? I'm glad! I've decided to keep her and will be back in the UK in a couple of weeks for a fortnight and am thoroughly looking forward to getting out and about on the roads for a good old fashioned Spring Hoon. :driving:

This thread doesn't really have a point, I just wanted to share my love for the Zed with fellow fans. Looking forward to the next down-south meet in 2014!

Cheers, guys, glad you approve of the change of heart. This pic was taken just after I washed her in preparation for sale. I am thinking of getting her detailed and the alloys refurbished when I get home properly, it's something I've been wanting to do for a while, but didn't because I thought I was selling her!

Dan - if you want detailing done, go to TK Detailing in Basingstoke - thats where Im going shortly

emj I'll Give you a full detailing if you can get down to london, Might be able to look at your z aswell ;)

Correct decision!

The lure of the unknown (i.e. the next car) is strong, but a quick hoon in the Zed usually changes my mind.

I'm exactly the same as you dan (identical colour coding as well). Washed, waxed, creamed my car in the summer ready to sell as it rarely gets used now due to having a 1 year old and having a 'proper' car lol. After finishing washing it I just started at her for 10 minutes and in my heart knew I couldn't sell. I plucked up the courage to ask the wife the next morning if I could keep her the next day and she agreed....I couldn't have been happier (that was a long night dreaming of watching someone driving her away from my house and never coming back!).
I now have her on the drive way and like you have a second wave of passion to refurb or replace the alloys and spruce her up. Soooooo glad I didn't sell, shes going nowhere....even if I am only driving her a couple of days a month. Than feeling when I do.....wooo hooo!!!
