amplifier

Afternoon. It seems that water has gotten into the trunk and pooled by the audio amp. It's fried (took it apart and can see where the board itself is melted). Is there a plug-n-play amp that can be interchanged for it or do I need to spend upwards of $700 for another one. Not a single one for under $650 on ebay now.

dont buy a replacement BMW/Carver amp mate.
I got a four channel Alpine amp and wired it in no probs and the stereo sounds a thousand times better for it.
you DO loose fade forward / backward, but just set the amp up right and it's not an issue.

dont listen to anyone who tells you you cant do it cos its a digital amp, or because the subs have weird impedence...

Is there any way you could send me a wiring diagram?
i would if I had one mate... it was just a case of test each wire at the amp end till I figured them all out :/

there's one lineout from the stereo, one ibus, then the rest are speakers if memory serves

I noticed you are from the area where some of my ancestors are from, Sturton Cum Fenton, Nottinghamshire, my 11th GGF and GGM.
Not sure what the general specs are for looking for compatibility though or will pretty much any 4 channel amp work?
