Amplifier Issues

Hi all,

I have an issue where I only get bass coming from the subwoofers behind the seats (I have the 10 speaker system)

The amp got a little wet but all speakers were working. Now they don't but the subs still do.

Anyone had this before?

Any advice for a fix?

All of my door speakers will intermittently stop working when the volume is turned up a bit, but the subs and the rear speakers still work regardless
 
I wouldn't like to say. But they are expensive to replace. Do you have a audio repair specialist near by that you can take it to ?
 
If you have a carver amp, do the rear small speakers work if you fade to the rear ?

I found out recently that the subs are powered with the front speakers so won't work if the fade is to the rear.
 
Wherever I fade all I can hear is bass.... I'm fearing he worst here.

Is an aftermarket stereo with a new amp an option? Or just head unit and no amp but using existing speakers?

Just a headunit and existing speakers is an option but it can be complicated.

Your budget however will dictate the best route to opt for.
 
All the rain we've had drove through somewhere and got in the boot. I've cleared the drains but it may be another seal.

Amp was working but crackled a bit so I left to dry out for 3 weeks in a garage. It now doesn't work apart from the bass signals so something is going on, but not everything.

Quite a common issue on pre face lifts as the Amp is next to the battery. Any water ingress of course will find the lowest point which is were the amp is sitting :thumbsdown:
