Amplifier and subwoofers problem

Hi, I own a 2003 bmw z4 2.5i. I just recently bought 2 300watt HA - R65 6.5” subwoofers and installed them into my car. When i bought the car it looked like the person before me took them out or they could have been stolen out idk. The website i bought them off said they would replace the stock subs for my year car. They work but they sound like they have wayyy too much bass. I also replaced the oem amplifier, the original one wouldn’t play anything. I took apart the old one and found that water had got into it and fried almost all the components and everything just crumbled apart. I went looking online to find a used one because a brand new one from bmw would cost around 1.5k. I found one that looked exactly like my oem old one but on the site it said it was for years 2006-2008. I still bought it thinking the website made a mistake. I bought it for 300$ used from “redline auto parts”. As i was installing it i notice that on this one there wasn’t an antenna plug-in just an empty circle cutout in the amp. The amp still works without using the antenna plug in. All the speakers work but just my subwoofers sound like they have wayy too much bass even at a really low volume. Almost as if there blown but there not there brand new. If anyone can help me with would really appreciate. Thank you. -Nick

According to the photo you posted they are coax speakers not subwoofers. About the bass can you not turn down the bass using the tone controls on the radio?

speakers only reproduce the signal that is sent to them so if you have to much bass its an amp or head unit issue
