Ciao a tutti ho ordinato una Z4 30i portimao pronta consegna, purtroppo non ho l'opzione ambient ligt qualcuno può inviarmi una foto di come si presenta illuminato l'interno senza ambient ligt.

Language problems aside, I didn’t know that ambient lighting was an option, on both of my g29’s it came as standard.

I was out in the car tonight so managed to take a couple of shots. Note that the one with the ambient light switched off might not reflect exactly a car without ambient light. The ambient light in this picture has come out much brighter than it actually is. Also I am going through a lilac phase, just trying something other than blue

I agree. The cabin has a lot of physical buttons which are all back-lit, plus the bright screen. It has more light than my last car which was a BMW 3-series.

I've read about people retrofitting it to other BMWs. The challenge there seemed to be some missing wiring, rather than the light strips themselves which are readily available and easily slot in. Maybe talk to your dealer or a non-franchised lighting specialist to see what your options are. To be honest if you haven't had ambient light you won't miss it. I think you'll love your car. I went out for an extended countryside drive in mine yesterday evening. Top down, little traffic, twisty roads. An absolute joy !

My opinion is just forget about ambient lighting and focus on the car and driving experience. I have it turned off in both my cars. No-one but you will care.

From memory, it’s standard. Otherwise it would require a different set of trims and dashboard to conceal ugly gaps. And no car manufacturer would entertain that.
Guess it’s off in iDrive.
