AMAZON Free Postage?

Generally very pleased with the way Amazon operate but lately I have noted when placing an order with FREE UK DELIVERY you 'buy it now' and the price you pay defaults to a 1st Class post service with a further cost. You have to select the FREE version and then pay.
Last time it happened I didn't notice till after I'd paid , so cancelled the order and re-ordered.
Just a bit annoying but something to watch for.
 
To be honest I'm very wary of Amazon and their suppliers as I bought what I thought was a new HTC One M8 phone but turned out it had been repackaged and had unauthorized software on it which prevented HTC updates. Also be careful with their free Amazon Prime trial with free postage as they signed me up for 12 months without me realising and charged 79 quid to my credit card. They were awkward at first when I tried to get a refund claiming they had no record of my goods order.

Yes I find when I've ordered their default postage is the most expensive and you have to edit the order to change it.

Have had nothing but excellent service from Amazon ordering numerous items a month via "Prime".
Fantastic service that you can order one day and have it delivered the next. Only let me down once in hundreds of orders and gave me an extra free month of "Prime"'when i complained. :thumbsup:

You are right! it is a bit of a principle problem with me. Since I cancelled and re-ordered using FREE, they are taking an age to dispatch it! BA5TADS.
