Am I using the right cloth?

I've got the foam pad applicators for wax and stuff but the instructions on things like super resin and extra gloss sealer say to use "soft lint free cloth" for final buff. I bought something described as "100% cotton perfect polishing cloth" (it's what I call cheesecloth a cream coloured cloth which when you stretch its very perforated). Sorry I took a photo of it but as usual Photobucket is malfunctioning for me :headbang:
I thought it would be the proper thing to use but it seems to drop a lot of bits, especially from the cut ends as it comes in a big roll and you have to cut it up. But also on the surface of the paint as you apply products or use it to buff it seems to leave millions of tiny strands behind.

Please, if you can tell what I mean from my babbling, is this correct? What should I be using, especially for the "buffing".

Hey! I said "buffing" not "fluffing" :poke:

Cheers,

Al.

For applying polishes / paint cleanser / glazes:

For removal of these products you can get packs of costyco microfibre towels for very cheap.

For applying waxes / sealants :

I also have some older meguiers microfibre towels which are still good.
