Am I the only one who thinks the standard car looks better then the M-Sport?

I did! Mind you I replaced the standard satin silver dash trim with the carbon aluminium! I think the rear bumper looks better without the diffuser!

Did the M-Sport have more toys? Mine has the comfort pack with PDC, cruise, extended lighting and nice 19" alloys, so I don't feel I'm missing that much!

Nope, it was suspension, front and rear bumpers, sports seats, gear knob and steering wheel so all visual, everything else was an extra as far as I know but I could be wrong.

I can see you have a 20i so most of that is extras

I prefer the msport front bumper but as mentioned above i do prefer the rear of the se.. that diffuser does look a bit of a tacked on afterthought and the clean lines of the se rear bumper just looks a bit nicer to my eye.. i do like the silver msport door sill trims though over the se black.. might put a set of those on my se if i keep it, steering wheel.. no preference really they both look ok and suspension well se all the way there, tbf Ive not tried the msport suspension in the e89 but it was definitely crap in the e85.. couldn't live with standard seats.. msport only there please, I wouldn't have bought my se if it had standard seats

I bought a SE because at the time there wasn't anything else with the spec or milage I was looking for. Over the years I've changed the seats and steering wheel to msport ones , wanted to update the paddle shift and the seats are nicer. I'm on the outlook for msport bumpers, I want to fit led spots in the two small front grilles and fit a rear difusser and have it all colour coded. :D

Yup same.

Also, my perfect looking Zed would have the rear of a E85 and the front of a E89 :driving:

I purposely looked for an SE because I thought at the time the ride quality was better than the M Sport (having test driven both) and that is still true, the front bumper looks better on the M Sport than the SE that is still true and the SE rear bumper looks better than the M Sport (still true) except recently I have caught myself looking at the rear setup on the 35is with its colour coded bumper and two individual exhausts pipes so maybe changing my mind on that one. The steering wheel and the interior dash trim I preferred the brushed aluminium and wheel of the SE over the M Sport (still true), nice to have M Sport sill trims but not really essential and the main one Sport seats which come standard on the M Sport were optioned on many SE cars. So no issue there.

SE looks too plain imo. I like that the M Sport bumpers give the car extra sharp lines and aggression.

And if I have to read one more time about "ride quality" on this forum... :fuelfire:

That part is true though.
I love the ride quality on my se.. for me its all about the ride quality. I remember in my old e85 the ride quality did not count as quality at all. There's just something so nice about the ride quality when you have better ride quality.. its just.. well.. quality :driving:
I had heard about some ride quality haters knocking about but I'm sure thats not true

:D

To be honest I don't think I ever even notice whether a Z4 is SE or Msport.

If you want ride quality, try driving an e85 with 19" wheels and two broken rear springs down the A12 - with a stupidly loud exhaust assaulting your ears to really top off the experience. The other half was not a happy passenger

I like the standard over the m sport car :P
