Am I being wronged? - exhaust

I have been after a nicer deeper sound from the rear of my Z. And have set my mind on a remus cat back system.
After paying twice with two separate dealers for the instal I have been refunded as the system is no longer available. Apparently
, apart from eisermann, there are no longer any after market exhausts for the 3.0si. I contacted remus in. Austria who forwarded me back to remus UK which are supplying me with a pre face lift 2.5 system.

Am I wrong in thinking that even if the system fits the internals may restrict the exiting gases and may even reduce my performance instead of enhancing it. It should arrive I the country by tomorrow so would appreciate anyone's views before it gets to me.

Find out the diameter of the exhaust. I'd guess it's the same so shouldn't be an issue.

You can get at least 20% off the advertised prices. Think when I contacted Roy @ CA the price quoted was just over £700.

Just after a nice deep pleasant sound and any performance gain is a bonus.
