Am I being unreasonable (need opinions) (turns out i wasn't)

Actually that was my first thought as well. Thousands of years of evolution have given us excellent instincts to sense when something is not quite right...

Interesting scenario. One of my best friends is a woman,we met through work, and we clicked immediately.I've known her since 1995 and still see her regularly. We are extremely fond of each other and have been on holiday together (once), a receipe for a shag fest if ever there was one.My wife used to get really jealous ( Me & this lass were already buddies before I started seeing my wife) and was really snotty about us seeing each other ( it doesn't help that she's blond and very pretty).
And you've never been tempted

This is so alien to me. Can't get my head round it.

On getting back home, my mrs would have my stuff packed and ready by the door

Me neither, sounds like gameplaying to me :| Either the the wife is VERY understanding or secretly tormented and hurt.

I don't think you can ever have a plutonic friendship with another woman when married or in a relationship, well not to the extent of going on holiday, doesn't stack up.

If the tables were turned how different it would probably be.

Tim.

So Liam, may I suggest you take Ruby out shopping???

... I met this chic on he Internet luv, we're just friends ...

Come on Liam, chic's need more tantalising than lets go to the cinema where we can't easily talk & yr hands start wandering in the dark - be creative...

She's a Lindoner, so take her round the Stables by Camden Lock or the Angel or Spitafields or Hayes galleleria... so you have lots to chat about & check out everyone else checking out everyone...

Alternatively find out when she's next at a meet & chat there, you might find out she's a lardy swamp monster & run a mile...

Lol! You sound like you’re well rehersed in grooming young ladies!! Hehe. They aren’t that suave round here in Maidenhead! Actually, a scary film, cos he probs want the girl to clutch onto his *arm!! Or a rom com to get into a woman’s good books!
I’d say a nice meal, with some nice wine. You can always have the pudding in the car :P

Nope, never been tempted.Men and women can be friends, BUT, I don't think many can actually make it work. Blokes, normally, want to bed everything that moves, I am not like that, so can quite happily hold a relationship with a woman without sex getting in the way.In fact , it's nice being able to have such a relationship. It's all about respecting each other. Those of you telling me it can't work , clearly wouldn't trust yourselves in my situation,I accept that, some people can behave, some can't, and if you can't ,doesn't make you a bad person, it's just how you're wired up.

well despite what i might of said early, i hope it works out for you , as others have said the ball is in her court now.

The only balls in a woman's court that i want to see when i'm dating her are mine.

If she wants to play with your mind, the fastest way to realign her attention is to go sniffing around another court.

Women are really weird, do all the things they say they want & they loose interest, do all the things they don't expect & they're on the case trying to work out why... go try & have fun, preferably with another chic

if my mrs was meeting up with an ex alone i wouldnt be impressed, but she would understand my distaste of the situation
if i was meeting up with an ex...she'd chop my bollocks off

One of my best friends is my ex girlfriend. She's back with the guy she was with before me (we split up when I moved to Tenerife and became friends when I got back).

We hang out alone from time to time and text constantly. Me and her fella get on fine.

I only partially want to put my penis inside her.

Try reverse psychology. Have you a female friend in or out of the office you could go have lunch or coffee with now and then? See how she reacts. From my experience it doesn't sound like her feet are securely fixed in your camp!

To be honest, the fact you have typed this post means you really have answered your own question! Your just looking for back-up.

Hi all, got a bit of a dilemma and know one who I can trust to talk to, so I guess strangers are the next best thing.

They all start like this. So I've been with my girlfriend nearly 2 years. We met at work, a big group socialised. We originally had a fling but it wasn't serious and I wasn't keen on seeing someone at work. We stopped speaking as much.

She moved on to and got friendly with someone in our group, not an issue, it was a long time before ago, she moved to a different call centre, an I'd got a different department as a manager.

We started speaking again and as I said its been nearly 2 years. About a year ago, the lad she got friendly with found himself out of a job, as a friend, she got him an interview a her new place, he now works there.

Not ideal, but I wouldn't like to see him out of work. They had always been friends, they still are good friends. I have no issue, I trust her.

To the crunch! She occasionally gives him a lift home, I've made clear my feelings on this, then today she went shopping with him after work. Again I highly doubt anything happened. But I just don't think this is acceptable.

She thinks I'm being unreasonable as he's a friend, there's nothing in it, she's acting like I'm asking her to change how she is with people.

So am I being unreasonable? Am I asking too much?

Not read all the thread, sorry but I think you need to put your foot down here (hard)
