Am I asking too much?

I've been looking (not that hard) for a Z4 Coupe for a few months now and I seem to be drawing a blank so I'm thinking am I asking for too much?

I've pretty much got £12,000 to spend and I'm looking for the following...

2007>
<50,000 miles
Sat Nav
Parking Sensors
MFW
Bluetooth (but would be happy to install myself)

I'm not that bothered about the colour or the wheels so I thought it would be easy to find one.

I've not really put the miles in but the ones I've seen locally with this spec aren't in the condition I'd want. They aren't in a bad condition just not that loved if you know what I mean.

The one today had kerbed alloys, stone chips, tired leather, scratches on the trim and the stiching was coming away. I know it's a 5 year old 50,000 mile car and some people might just over look these things but I expected better.

So what do guys think am I asking too much or have I just been unlucky? I just don't want to start driving 200 miles plus to look at a Coupe if I'm just going to be disapointed.
 
NO you are not asking too much hold out for the car you want there are plenty of well loved looked after good examples of a Z4 out there as i own one
 
Personally I would buy on condition rather than age and mileage. A 2006 coupe might be the 'well loved' example you're looking for? Also, as long as the car doesnt have intergalactic mileage, I wouldnt let this put you off.

Budget seems reasonable. Just got to keep looking. Good luck :thumbsup:

I would rather sacrifice age than miles as I do clock up the miles but I hear what your saying.

It does bring a lot more cars into search and the age is just in my own head really.

I know I just need to get off my ass and start looking properly and I've probably just had bad luck so far.

It's begining to look like people who look after their cars don't part-ex so I'm going to look at more private sales.
 
You're price is pretty much the low end of the spec you're after but there are several cars available to you.

Where are you?
 
This one looks perfect just need to check its spec to ensure it has bluetooth but it looks a well spec'd car so I would assume it does:

It does look nice it was just the 06 that was putting me off. Parking sensors isn't the end of the world as I don't have them now.

Definitely, dont be afraid to start your negotiating at £1500 under the asking price.

Yesterday I went to see a coupe, listed at £13k, I started at £11,600 and stopped at £12,200.

They are mulling it over..

You dont ask, you dont get! Plus on private sales there are always bits than need attention that require some work anyway..
