Aluminum/aluminium dash question

I have an opportunity of getting a piano black console piece at a very reasonable price. It would replace my aluminum/aluminium console piece. I do intend on replacing the dash large and small pieces sometime in the future. Opinions?

Cheers,
Greg

doing the same, but with carbon leather trim.

At Aluminium can reflect really badly if the sun is behind, and I think the black is more in keeping with the rest of the car.

Each to their own (and that's the beauty of the many variations avaialable), but for me there is already too much black on German cars, so the Ally lifts it.

I sat in a piano black interior Zed at a dealership some time back and to me it looked a bit too shiny and easy to scratch or finger print. Those with expereince can no doubt counter those concerns.

I was always a big fan of the aluminium one when I had it my first one. A friend had a plain black dash and I never liked the look of it.

Since getting the M, with the carbon leather, I've really gone off the aluminium one. Really like the look of the darker dash.

Didn't use to like the piano black but it has really grown on me, although agree with cj10 - bet its a bugger to look after due to finger prints etc.

But I'd go for it.

err.... you guy's... "bugger to clean"??.... do you forget who asked the question???
