Aluminium Dash

Gave the zed it's first really good clean since I got the car at the end of December and noticed one or two minor marks in the dash and centre console aluminium trim.
Is there an easy way to cover/remove these marks?
In a search on here I found a post which suggested wire wool or a scouring pad but don't want to make things worse so thought I'd seek advice first before attacking it with a Brillo!!
Any advice much appreciated.

Not a lot you can do about it, if you use wirewool or scourer you will have a different finish. You could treat the entire panel to wire wool treatment, but I have no idea how it would turn out. Or you could wrap, paint or replace the lot like I did.

Don't like the sound of wire wool. I'd assume there's some sort of finish or coating over the aluminium trim and a rub with wire wool would just take it off. Difficult to remove scratches if they're deep.

If it's just one or two minor marks, just leave them! You'll only make it worse and after all it is a car and you use it. It's gonna pick up a few little marks in it's life.

Would never use wire wool on it as said above will make it worse either leave it or replace it the dash i think is not that bad but the centre consul is more involved.

Have a couple of marks on my dash and most people dont even notice them till i point them out but i do intend to replace it

Confirms my suspicions that it's probably best left alone.
I also have to keep reminding myself it's 6 years old so will have a few marks.
Considering the age, they are very few!
Thanks for your help and advice.

My trim set may be up for grabs in the future I will post it on here first before ebay, so key your eyes peeled.

Was it a pain removing and refitting the dash panel ? and did you get any rattles after fitting new panel or is it a nice snug fit ?

Fitted it whilst retrofitting satnav, the two dash pieces are easy taking only 30 mins or so, 3 vents and radio out, 4 screws and a couple of clips. No rattles and fit as per original, just looks much nicer IMO.

Centre console real PITA as you have to remove the rear centre trim panel with storage door and the entire centre console on the transmission tunnel. You then need to remove the 30 screws that hold the trim to the centre console, it's not difficult but time consuming.
