Hi all,
I'm considering a set of these wheels for my M Coupe but am completely confused as to offsets and tyre sizes.
I'm sure most of you are asking why am I considering putting a replica on an M?? Because I'm in Ireland and there aren't an abundance of used OEM CSL wheels. I would hate to buy a set unseen from the UK and have them arrive only to find they are damaged or not quite round. I've done quite alot of research into replicas and these appear to be one of the best around, they are low-pressure cast and weigh very little more than an OEM wheel.
As I understand it the M Coupe has the same rear axle as the M3 hence the OEM CSLs are a direct fitment. I believe the sizes on these are 8.5x19 ET44 and 9.5x19 ET27 with a 235 tyre on the front and a 265 on the rear.
I've spoken to AluFelgen and they are offering the following sizes -
Front:
19x8.5 ET 15mm
19x8.5 ET 35mm
Rear:
19x9.5 ET 20mm
19x9.5 ET 35mm
Neither of which really match. So what should I be going for?
Secondly they are recommending a 275 tyre on the rear...will this be detrimental to handling or potentially cause rubbing issues?
Sorry for all the questions!
Thanks in advance.
