Been there on a 2007 & very unimpressed , it lasted 5 months 8) underpowered for the size of car,RF's woeful & economy wasn't that great :thumbsdown:
I looked at those 9-3s a while back. Good car for not much money but all me research on the diesels seemed to suggest the more powerful diesel had issues. Not sure if that was the 150bhp engine.
Insignia, yuk! All Vauxhalls drive like crap. I'd go for a ford over a Vauxhal any day of the week. They drive so much better. However, for the money I'd be looking for an octavia or a superb estate. The octavia is built on the Golf platform but I don't know what the hell they did to the estate but it is absolutely massive in the back. Makes a 3 series touring look like a Smart car inside.

All cars drive like crap period bar a BMW and a merc however I find mercs very clinical.
Forget saabs or volvos. Test drive the insignia you will be surprised.
The newer mondeo is a decent machine all round , problem is they are not cheap enough to lure me from a BM or merc .

Agreed. Insignia 160bhp diesel is a mile muncher and provides a reasonable and spirited drive. You get loads of kit for your money too compared to a Mondeo.
