Alternative news media sites

I was just thinking that it seems like most members, at least those who post on threads in “the Lounge” get their news and views from main stream media sources. With that in mind I thought some (probably a very few) might care to explore some alternate news sources. If nothing else they would give you another target to poke fun at.

To that end here is a link to many of the most popular and at the end of the article are MANY links to similar sites.

I know many of you think I am crazy, and I'm OK with that, in fact I wear it as a badge of honor. If nothing else is it not a good thing to know what the other side thinks? Maybe, just maybe it might give those of you with a bit of an open mind pause to consider that things may be different than what is endlessly pumped out via the MSM.

Doesn't it make you wonder, even a little, why face book and other “social media” outlets are censorship factories. Any post that even remotely goes against the “correct line of thought” is unceremoniously censored...have you ever asked yourself why?

Anyway the alternate media site I visit most is https://rense.com/

The non-censored video site I visit the most is https://brandnewtube.com/videos/latest

FWIW

I’d normally stay out of these sort of posts, as I believe that people should have the right to believe in whatever they want…as long as it does no harm to others.

But, if you are seriously trying to suggest that a crackpot, conspiracy-theory, lizard people ‘alt’ website like rense.com is your main source of ‘the truth’, then I can see why you get attacked so often.

Please, put down the cool aid :|

How do you know that these other sites are the truthful ones?
If I were a master tactician I'm pretty sure I'd set up some 'truth-only' media sites to make everyone think that these were the real deal, then use those to feed tripe to the gullible.

Interesting reply. Funny how two people can see the same thing from exactly opposite positions. You see I look at those who swallow the pap that the MSM feeds the populace as those who "drink the Kool Aid". Humans are interesting creatures.

Frankly I have never felt that I was being "attacked" on the forum. Everyone (or at least most) have strong convictions/beliefs. I have looked at forum members replies to my posts in that manner. Although some express that disagreement in a somewhat rude manner but for the most part they are mannered and understandably staunch in their opinions. I would not want it any other way.

With respect to Rense (I noticed that you did not mention any of the videos on BrandNewTube), he did in the past tend to lean toward the alien, UFO type of articles. It has been awhile since that was his focus, below see a screenshot of the "Headline News" section of his web site, that is the area I access on a daily basis.

Perhaps some of the headlines could be considered "conspiracy" but for the most part they are simply links to either mainstream or alternate news sources.

I would hope that everyone would be open minded and not dismiss anything out of hand. Though I am surely not a flat Earther I have read their theories and to some extent they made sense but further investigation (on my part) proved them to be wrong, at least IMO.

Juvenile bobble hatted reporters with an alternative view and it would seem the more radical the better.

GB news was founded by the reputable and honoured reporter Gordon Bennett. Every time they came up with some news that they said was an exclusive people would say Gordon Bennett.

Tony, I think that's unfair, I very much enjoyed that site, it was like going back to my childhood back in the 90s when we first got onto the internet and the black websites written manually in HTML were the coolest

Every news/media outlet has their own agenda, no matter if it’s the Times or Rence and we tend to pick a news source that meets with our views. All have a vestige of truth, though most have an exaggerated view of the facts as perceived by the views of the author/editor/owner and all are overly dramatic to capture readers and viewers.

The answer, don’t believe what your told and crosscheck against other sources
