Alpine White ///M Coupé - 42k mileage - £20k

Nice looking car, and a very rare colour! Suffers from missing carbon leather trim but other that that it looks to be of very good spec. Also, not sure if the CSLs are OEM, but even if we give the seller benefit of the doubt, for a private sale it's £2-3k over-priced imo.

if there is one thing i cannot stand when it comes to bmw, are drivers who put an 'm' badge inside the grill ! - whether its a m or not, it looks comletely naff and cluttered. other than that nice car

Agree, I think the black wheels and black roof lack a bit tacky as well. If the roof was still white and wheels hyper silver or anthracite he'd be on to a winner....albeit still at a lower price.

Somebody is going to have to be desperately impatient for an AW ///MC to pay what he wants.

Doesn't sound like an enthusiast either, as he doesn't know the 'official' 0-60 or that 'Harmann' is actually 'Hamann' :P

Not sure I like the 'Maritime' mats either :poke:

I'm not sure White Coupes are Keepers -.the premium I think will be transient and if you're left with one when they become worth the same as Std Colours - ouch .

I am amazed how few we're ordered in White as the cars at Paris 2006 on the M Stand looked Epic - stand included MR,MC and M5 all in white .

There are a few things that annoy me about the advert:

"Its the m version coupe, so really is nothing like the standard z4 being extremely quick, 0-60 4.4 seconds"

-as you said the 0-60 is incorrect and equally people looking for ///MC's probably don't need to be told it's not a "standard Z4"

"FSH all important services done correctly and on time"

Seeing as you incorrectly quoted the 0-60 and have mis-spelt "Harmann", why should I trust that you managed to get the service intervals correct. What's wrong with listing each service and the details?

"It has more just cant remember"

You're trying to raise £20k by selling the car stop being such a lazy a*** and spend 15 min to find and list out the exact spec of the car.

Two other quotes that just annoyed me:

"I dont have to sell I doubt you will find another one of this spec and condition, it really is in fantastic condition"
"Alpine white is also extremely rare, I doubt there is another one in the uk for sale"

The obvious, aggressive salesman speak puts me off any internet advert.

Just list the facts and figures and details of maintenance/ care taken and I'll decide whether I think it's worth a punt.

Was this same car for sale 3 months ago?

Sure was :?

So a bit of a fisherman looking for the big bite... throw the hook out there enough times and there's bound to be a nibble at some point, especially after the recent z4mc exposure

just goes to show, there are enthusiasts, and there are chancers

Not really, it was bought from a dealer a few months ago, now the present incumbent has decided to move it on by the looks of it .

Making you wonder if it's a wrong'un. That or the buyer didn't realise their wallet emptying taste for fuel when driven as it should be...

Well I can vouch for the second - as the rev counter goes up the fuel gauge descends - I think you can actually see it .

Can you remember what sort of price it was up for? Can't believe he paid over £20k for it?

I think it was around £18K ish iirc

The premium for Alpine White cars exists only in the mind of sellers. Mine's rarer than this and a lot less miles so presumably it's worth £25k? No?
