Alpine Head Unit - Iphone 5s Connectivity

Hi,

My ladies Z4 has an Alpine head unit with a USB receiving socket cable running to the glovebox. Into this she has an Iphone 4 plugged in via the normal Apple USB connection cable. She now has an Iphone 5 and wants to connect that, but using the Iphone 5 cable doesn't work :thumbsdown: . Anybody know why this might be? Is the Iphone 5 cable different?
