Can anyone tell me which Sat Nav the Alpina was fiited with - Pro or Business? I believe Sat Nav was part of the Lux pack so type should be common across all Alpinas? The DVD that came with it was the "High" version so from that I'm assuming that its not the Pro. That and the 2008-1 Pro disc I tried to install on it today was unrecognised. Trying to upgrade it with more recent OS and newer maps.
 
'Business' is the one which looks like a radio display (i.e. you never see it, because it's just awful), 'Pro' with the big graphical screen.

I believe the 'High' DVD is for both of these, with the other type of DVD being for iDrive systems.

Thanks. I must have the Pro system but need to use the 'High' DVD. Tried 2 discs for Pro now and not got it to work. Managed to upgrade the OS to v31 just now so it looks a bit different and nicer and I've activated Perspective mode which is kinda cool.
 
yep... if you're doing what i think you're doing, 2008-1 (or 2) HIGH is hard to find, but Pro seems to be everywhere.

Very difficult indeed!! I found a place to get 2007-2 but delivery times are very very slow. If someone knows of a reliable place to get 2008 then perhaps they could pm me the details . . .
 
Thats not too bad then I guess - I had read much higher prices for a new disc. If the current plan doesn't work out then it'll be a trip to the stealer.
