A rare event though, a 1 owner RS, known provenance as enthusiast owned and used a number of times as John Drake's Zymol show car.

#257 Non-lux, Red with Black leather, includes red hardtop, 39000 miles and looks to be in very good condition - the headlight trims are a marmite thing but should be easy to remove

Nice price too - not that I'm complaining if prices are strengthening :wink:

That looks gorgeous but not one photo with the roof down... Poor sales strategy on the Dealers part !

Also interesting that the strut mounts inside the bonnet are painted red, when all others seem to have the base primer in that area ??

Do you mean the firewall brace mounts? Mine are red too - here's a very old picture, it's cleaner now :wink:

I mean the 'turrets' where the cross brace would fix to if you fitted one.
My Alpina is Titanium SIlver, yet everything under the bonnet is only sprayed a base 'white-ish' colour and doesn't match the exterior paintwork. My 2 Sterling Silver Zeds did but the Titanium Silver doesn't !

That's strange, I see what you mean now, this is HalifaxBantam's ///M from his sale thread and I can see that the suspension turrets are lighter - don't think that's ever registered with me before

But on EdWinchester's Midnight Blue car, they're either body colour or black

and on Bing's, sorry, I mean PVR's, Silver Grey car, they look to be black


Perhaps they only did it with cars where the base is close to body colour to save a few shekels
