Also keep an eye on www.thealpinaregister.com. Bob updates cars for sale in the UK every day and he doesn't miss much.MGD said:In addition to my post below about the Z4M, I would definitely consider an Alpina Roadster if anyone knows of any going.
Thanks
That's #024 - overpriced and doesn't look as though it's been very well cared forMGD said:I’ve seen the one Synter have for sale but the poor thing needs quite a lot of TLC and that isn’t reflected in the price!

I'm not sure about the Roadster S, but Alpinas tend to share most parts with the 'donor' BMW they come from. There is a list of specific Alpina parts for each model on the forum mentioned earlier.MGD said:Also, welcome any pointers on the challenges of owning an Alpina over the Z4M. Are certain specific Alpina parts harder to come by for example?
Thanks
That'll be #040, Lux model, Black with Red Leather, 8 owners, owner 5 got it in May 2008 then it changed ownership in Feb 2020, March 2020 & Dec 2020. Was shipped to Northern Ireland at the beginning of this year.MGD said:Interesting, thanks. Would definitely love to return that to original spec.
Can across one for £15995 with 85k reg - FN04HYK
Know anything about that one?
Sales to, or between, dealers don't increase the number of recorded owners as they don't register the car with the DVLAMGD said:Wonder why it was passed around so much… between dealers I presume.
I wouldn't take multiple owners as necessarily something to worry about with a car like the Z4. Many people buy convertibles as a summer 'fun' car, then realise at the end of the summer it's money sitting doing nothing, so sell them on.MGD said:Hmm, makes you wonder what problems are lurking.
There was a guy came on here back in the summer who bought an E89 35is for his wife from a photo online. She didn't like it when she drove it, so he sold it on within about two weeks (and obviously lost a good wedge of money for the privilege). So you can never tell.MGD said:Yeah for sure. To change in February 2020 then again in March 2020 seems odd though. Buyers remorse.
