Alpina roadster s

Was wandering if any one can help??
I have roadster s, so basically a z4 3.0l when it comes to electrics.
Any way problem is alarm keeps going off but only after approx 45-60mins from being set. To me that's seems really odd as you would think it would just go off as soon as its set if there is a problem!!
Can anyone shed some light??

99.9% bonnet switch, disconnect it then set the alarm, if it don't alarm you need a new switch or as I did with mine, cleaned it with electrical contact cleaner!

p.s this is not my engine bay.... Yuck! :thumbsdown:

Also have a RS and same symptoms, was the bonnet switch. Quick £10 later from Sopers, all sorted

Switch is at the top of the cross brace

Well sprayed the switch well with some gt85 and so far seems to have done the trick. Will pop to local dealer in week and grab a new one though still!

Blz278, you want to look at the zedfest at Silverstone, and the National Meet in the lakes (Silverstone thread here, National Meet here). Otherwise, there was a thread for a somerset run - look in the Meets/Events/Road Trips section under the general forum (somerset one is here, just needs a few prompts to get organised again :wink: ).

Oh, and when you have time, put a few piccies up and an intro in the Newbie section - we all love to view another zed (especially another Alpina )
