Alpina Roadster S Lux SOLD

Thanks for all the comments guys! Happy to take more questions from those with a genuine interest in purchasing the car :) :driving:

Some mods no longer seem to be there? The side indicators are orange and rears non painted?

The red tint applied to the clear rear lights was starting to fade, so removed them a while a go.

In previous posts the following have also been mentioned:

...

Most of that list came as part of a thorough suspension refresh; the original shocks had seen better days and it had a broken rear spring.

You also missed stubby aerial from the list - I hope that doesn't make it less desirable in the eyes of a purist ;)

I'd love to have all those shiny parts installed on a car I was buying - good luck

Well, if you want to return the suspension to stock, I may be interested in an exchange

Most of my mods are removable/reversible, apart from the steering wheel (which was past repair) because of the points Perry raises, but IMHO the list here is enhancements to stock.

There was no intention to offend or appear derogatory in any way, shape or form which is why I was careful to say that none of the mods are 'bad' and that it would only be purists who would wish to revert the car back to OEM spec

No worries Perry - my jipe was only a bit of fun. Your advice before and during ownership has been very useful

Stunning motor - love it! GLWTS

The mods are right for a car of this age and mileage. The would not put me off buying what is an iconic and rare sports car. Very few of these around and they're becoming harder and harder to find.

Lovely Alpina with considered mods. Interesting in silver; not seen many like that before.
GLWTS

Hi Jamie, saw your car on auto trader thought it would be lovely buy for someone. Mods are tastefully done imo you've stuck to enhancing the car! True some alpina perfectionists will complain but the car looks awsome. There's a cool supercharged version in the states that in sure you drew inspiration from. :) good luck with the sale it will go quick.

 looks great.

I think I saw that car in the NCP in Cheltenham (opposite the Holiday Inn Express) a couple of weeks ago 19th/20th Dec?

Having been potentially Zedless for English/Welsh event after the sale of my 2.5 and breifly owned 3.0, I'm, pleased to say that all sales and purchases manged to fall into place and I am now the proud new owner of Jamie's Alpina Roadster S Lux ( #19),

Not been out in it yet (not properly!) , just had it in the garage and spent a few nights Cleaning and Polishing ! I've transferred my other plates on (in 4 days!) taxed it from 1st Feb, so as from tomorrow I'm legal to go !

It's all a learning curve so all Alpina information will be greatly received. Thanks due to Perry also, for his wealth of knowledge and advice throughout my enquiries.

Congrats, nice upgrade

Perry - helpful? We talking about the same Perry here?

Noticed you'd changed your forum avatar & then I found this post. Good choice, welcome to the Alpina family. Hope you enjoy #019 as much as I do #308. I'll look out for you, I'm looking forward to the next English/Welsh meet & will try to get out on some of the local runs when weather improves. Any idea where you are headed tomorrow?
Remember to check your oil level regularly & don't be surprised if it drinks a bit.
There are some great owners, some now ex-owners, around who have so much knowledge & are extremely generous

Didn't see that coming but that's great news for both parties :) the car was a stunner & has gone to a good home i'm sure
