Easter Bump... 8)

Ta Perry...was just on my way to do that! :D If the god-awful cold weather would go away, we'd take her for a spin this weekend. At this rate, I think her next outing will be the BMWCC Welsh meet in May if the arctic conditions ease  Don't want any of that road salt on her

Thats awesome and a credit to you. Wish i could afford that!

Cheers! :D

It is awesome, and we're very lucky to own her. If Mrs2ALPS hadn't gone and changed her job, #168 would be going nowhere...but then again, she could have ended up with no job :| then we would have had a fire-sale :fuelfire: As it is, the replacement vehicle will be on the drive on Sunday and we will be a 4-car, 2-license household until she goes :?

Replacement mile-muncher has arrived, and #168's still here. Even we can't drive 4 cars  Thinking of starting a rental company :!:

Have you thought of reducing the price a little?

There are only 3 known RS's on the market atm, and she is the cheapest. I would also say with a lot of inside knowledge, one of the best you will see both mechanically and cosmetically, with no bullsh1t jobs done to her: she' s far better than anything Sytner would forecourt at the usual asking of £16,850  Also, the asking price is a start negotiating point, not an expected sale price 8) Recent RS sale prices have been around £14.5-15.5k for decent cars: this is waaaay above 'decent'. I also have a buy-in value to Sytner which I obviously won't sell at privately, and I'm not priced that far above it (this car is well-known at Notts and they ask us to use it as a demo car on show days: yep, we travel THAT far for them). She's too good to let trade put a £2k-plus markup on her with no work required by them, so better for a buyer to take her from me privately. There is logic, there....

The biggest issue wrt sale is where we live...buyers don't seem to wish to travel to view. There is an interested party, but he has a machine to sell: therefore she remains available until he offers me some folding.

For anyone going along to the BMWCC Welsh Weekend at Llandindrod Wells this weekend, the car will be there on display with my B3SBT as there is a bit of an ALPINA display-thing going on. So, if anyone wants to see a top quality RS, come along! :D

Wouldn't have thought location would be too much of a problem. Given the rarity of the RS you'd have thought buyers would be willing to travel.

It's not like popping down the road and picking up a fiesta after all.

People are fickle, and often won't travel out of town, never mind across county or borders  Have come across lack of 'buyers motion' on many occasions  We travelled to Huntingdon for one of ours, Teeside for the other, having toured the country in search of an RS when we purchased. Our prospective buyer will be travelling a long way, though, if he does manage to shift his Elise. Elise 111s anyone?

Huge fun having it parked and 'for sale' in front of the house. I've put a couple of nicely printed A4 sheets on the windscreen describing what it is (for the uninitiated, mainly) and we've had a number of cars stop and people look at the car and details. Every 2nd car driver whips their head round to look, and one poor guy in his boggo black 05 Z4 nearly crashed as he double checked it! Lots of interest and some lovely comments from random motorists: aaarggghhh.

No spotteds on here yet, though

I'm tempted to come have a look just for the roads in between us that I'd have to travel :D

Totally amazed this hasn't sold - your buyer isn't Mark-I-had-2-///Ms is it ? He climbed back in an Elise IIRC...

If you go and look, take some wonga - or you'll have to make the trip again to collect her

LOL. These have a small market to appeal to, and they are relatively expensive. But, you gets what you pay for with these, so you have to bide your time when selling until an ALPINA aficianado wants to buy. It's standard RS sales pattern: good ones sell to the knowing, the not-so-good ones go cheaply elsewhere and cost money to put right.

No he's an ex-ALPINA owner (not RS), and wants to go back to what's best 8)

I just took a pic of her on display roadside but it's turned-out crap! I'll take another and upload it. It's even stopped motorcyclists in their tracks today

...ok, two cars that I'd swap the 335i for. Woody's/phill_thompson's ///MC's or this beauty.

Bite my hand off gents

I've already got your 335i's big daddy, so no good to me, sadly! Neither, sadly, is a swap: this is one out, none in as 'it's' already in.

She's proving to be a real Manny-Fagnet (and vice versa) today though with the holiday traffic passing by (plus some of the usual suspects! ). It's actually nice to have people drive by, turn round and come back and either pull up next to her and look or stop, get out and look. That's a quality designed car for you
