Alpina Respray??

I wasn't aware that it was available in white either. Interesting. It seems to be a genuine Alpina though by the look of the pics and if so it's a fair price for a low mileage example I reckon.

also seems a lilttle cheap? or am i mistaken

I wish!!! No, others have gone for less in the past year partly due to the credit crunch. Hopefully the resale values of Alpinas are just about finding the basement now and will level off some in depreciation terms.

There's a new V8 Vantage Roadster on PH at 30k less than the original price! Pre-registered but still - wow!!

Wow that is some discount.

I don't know, they seem to keep their price quite well. There's one on ebay for £17k but it's done 60k miles. This ones only done 13k so I suppose £20k sounds reasonable. I wonder what mines worth, not much of it is Alpina anymore and Alpina themselves have disowned me because I put ///M running gear in the car. "Sacrilege" is the terminology they used! That's the problem with extensive mods, it's probably worth more as a standard car.

Modifying in the UK has an insurance impact, which is not the case in continental europe where you only insure the value of the car, no matter what you do to it as long as it is legal of course.

This obviously has an impact on the resale value. The good thing about the Alpina is that they are different, and rare. That will increase the value a little compared to the standard models. If you compare that one at 20k, a standard 3.0 would be 12K for the same age, so the original price difference between the two models still exist, so as an investment it is not a bad deal to have bought one of those.

The car in your post is silver, but yes indeed, "Alpinweiss III" White was offered on the Alpina. This one is production 088: http://www.thealpinaregister.com/photos/Roadster/S/convertible/88
