Alpina Badge

Just seen a Blue Alpina Roadster S. The Alpina badge on the front bumper was blue like the paintwork.
Is this right?
As i Thought it was meant to be a separate colour. The guy said you actually have to request this from Alpina.
Any ideas on this?

it is molded into the plastic hence it's body coloured, the raised letters are often painted silver or something to highlight it.

That sounds about right, I have two front spoilers, both are plain body coloured including the Alpina name but I have seen the version your talking about, particularily on E36's. I think it looks better left plain IMO.
