Aloha from Hawai'i Island. 2005 3.0. Kind of wasted with a 55 mph speed limit, but fun regardless.

A few. Not saying more. Ha.

I particularly like this forum because of the level of detail. Something I've learned to do when car shopping is check out the on line fora for indications of regular problems; for example, the '90 Miata short nosed crank problem (I come from the Miata world; had 5 of the little gems, done. When I find myself making the shopping list of what needs to be changed/repaired, it's time to move on). This forum seems to have the most information about what doesn't work, and what to do about it. So, when shopping with the approval of She Who Must Be Obeyed, I was alert to known issues like coolant leaks from the expansion tank and drowned top motors, for which I thank the collective wisdom.

Anyway, 53k miles, maintenance records from 2nd owner on (I'm number 4. Number 1 apparently was an idiot, because number 2 spent ungodly amounts of money fixing things just in time for number 3 shell out for Inspection 2), can't seem to find anything wrong other than some minor scuffing on the seat bolsters, easily treated with a bit of leather dye, and a few stone chips. I guess I can live with that.

By the way, SWMBO has yet to set, er, posterior in the Z; recovering from a knee replacement and can't bend that far. Yet. Fortunately, she's approves and is glad it's not another motorcycle (I can hear the thought; "please, God, not another Harley!").

Anyway, here I am.

Welcome to the forum, glad you have already gained some sound advise from here it's been great for me too albeit after the purchase ,I should have looked beforehand and some of the hassle and expense could have been avoided.
Enjoy your Zed they are a pleasure whether weekend fun or daily hack.

Welcome :D . Quite the perfect colour for rolling up at the beach in. 8) Suddenly I feel the British winter is blighting, even in Cornwall.

Enjoy the forum, the warmth hear is genuine too.

Hi and welcome.

I bet you're jealous of us here in the UK. Winter's on it's way, temperatures down to zero and rainy!

Nice looking car!

Hi Kamuela and welcome to the forum.
I bet you get bored with all that sunshine in Hawaii, probably wish you could have some British cold, wind and rain...
Hope you enjoy your new car.
Cheers, Dave

Welcome to the forum - nice Zed with great original alloys
You must have some promising coastal roads? What a brilliant place to own a Zed
My mind conjures up a red Ferrari 308 for some reason. . .
