Almost to cheap! (Z4M)

To be fair, that one does not have satnav which takes about 2k of the price.

The £18k one does looking at the interior shot that surely makes the difference even greater.

Meant Matt's car, so yes - like for like it would mean that the difference is way too big. Usually means 1 thing (cat D or something else horrible).

Wasn't there a blue MC few months ago we were debating on which didn't have the 2k running in service? Could this be the same car??

No, that one was black (or Carbon Black?) and had a two-tone interior black/pearl gray

Definitely something up with that one though :idunno:

I called the guy. He said it's not CAT-D and has had the running in service at around 1500 miles. His reason for selling so cheap is that he's moving to Ireland and it'll cost him £12k to transfer the plates to an Irish one... sounds like BS to me!

He also said that there's no service history, but being so low in mileage that's possible.

Can anyone confirm this £12k plate transfer!!??

Ireland does indeed have that requirement, however you can drive for a year there on UK prices and then flog the car back in the UK.

Having said that, I would not want to drive a nice car in Ireland as the roads are even worse then in the UK and have hit potholes where I thought that the rental car would not recover from ...

No service history - what is all that about ... I have the running in stamp, the oil service and the brake fluid service stamps. My car is the same age ...

Sat Nav knocks £2k off the price? You have got to be kidding me PVR. I'm fairly sure we've had this discussion on here before, and it just simply does not add £2k to the resale price of the car. Let me guess, you have it in yours...

Fact is, whilst some options will make a car more appealing to some people, it does not bring the price of the car up. Especially when some people specifically look for a car without it.

Oh ok...

But what's your mileage? This guys has only 9k, so not even enough miles for first oil service.

Doesn't matter it's due a service after 2 years max, ditto the brake fluid change, and this car is at least 2.5 years old so if it hasn't been done then the remaining warranty could be void.

Z4 isnt subject to CBS so its recommended 2 years between services or the mileage when indicated, whichever sooner.

Also i phoned BMW Uk and they said its recommended to get it done after 2yrs for non-CBS cars that dont hit the mileage indicator, i guess making a claim on the engine and your car had gone 2.5 or 3 yrs without a service or just had one might be interesting!

I've seen loads of Z4 Coupe's for sale which are 3 yr old and have only just had their 1st service! Seems everyone just thinks thats it and looks at the mileage indicator. :?

Yep, perhaps it hasn't been clear to owners, but regardless, don't touch them with a bargepole. It's not worth it in terms of concern or warranty purposes.

Mine didn't have oil service after 2 years despite the AUC checking it and dealer selling it as "full service history". When I bought it and asked about oil service, they said it wasn't due. Only when I read the manual I realized it should be done regardless of the milage at 2 years.

Luckily I had the service pack so its now been done. Not sure if it will impact on the resale value 3-4 years down the line though. Probably not? :?

I'll take a look through my manual for you later Stu, just to put your mind at ease! I will happily bet £1000 that the servicing is as follows:

Every 2 years, unless indicated earlier by the mileage indicator.
Service schedule: Oil, Insp1, Oil, Insp2 (repeat therein)

Prices:
Si: Oil £150, Insp1 £250: Insp2: £350 (Brake Fluid £100)
M: Oil £200, Insp1 £600, Insp2 £800 (Brake Fluid £100)
