Hi
I am almost back in a Z4 after a 6 year break. Have been looking to buy one the last couple of years but bought something else . Sold a Kuga last year with full intentions of getting back into the fold but fell into a Golf GTi - whilst it’s a decent car it’s just not for me so put a holding deposit on a Estoril blue , viewing at weekend so hopefully this time it’ll work out.
It’s a manual 2.0 litre - seems a decent spec , is there anything I should be looking out for other than the obvious, it’s a main dealer car so I have high hopes.

Sorry I can't help with you question as I've only had E86s so far, but hopefully someone may be along with some insights.

Are you crazy! your going to pay well over the odds and get a crappy BMW used car warranty.

Buy private and get Warranty Direct, far better and more comprehensive cover. Also a damn sight cheaper.
 
Check the lights for water ingress,on the subject of water leaks,lift the foam in the boot and check it's dry around the pump and relays.

Been reading about the N20 engines- there seems to be a few issues with the timing chains ??
I’m still going for the test drive but slightly concerned that it won’t be as good / smooth as my old E85 2.5

Might be talking myself into something else :cry:
