Hi again

Im in need to change the alloys on my 54 plate 3.0i as previous owner have it on 19" m3 67style ones. Driving is very stiff and bumpy, as im mostly driving in the city.

I want to put 18" on it, and was looking around to see whats up. At first i was sure i want 108's but not anymore..

While scrolling on picture thread on here i found two sets of wheels from fellow forum members(forgot the names sorry)

i dont know the name of them, please let me know what is it
and these:

326m (please correct me if im wrong)

Q1: am i able to fit any of them on e85?

Q2: I have read a great article here about tyres and i noticed i can put narrower tyres and bigger profiles. Can anyone share opinions/experience about putting 215/40/18 front and 245/35/18 or even 245/40/18 on rear?

I need more comfort, car is a daily driven mostly in big city :)

PS. Feel free to drop any uncommon alloy choice for e85. car is full black no chrome trim. Black alloys, or maaaaaybe copper? 8)

Thank you

Well I don't think the wheels in that 1st photo are BMW OE wheels and the Style 326s in the 2nd photo are 19s, so probably not for you in view of what you have said!

This thread may give you some inspiration:- https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=107556

There is a photo on there of my blue E86 on E89 style 295s that fitted fine so any staggered E89 18s ought to work on an E85, so long as it hasn't been lowered.

You could change tyre sizes but standard fronts for 18s are 225/40x18 so a 215/40 would give you slightly less sidewall.

Standard rear tyres on 18" staggered wheels are 255/35s so a 245/40x18 should fit OK and help with ride quality.

Hopefully mr wilks will find this thread and give you some definitive answers based on his multiple Z4 ownership with countless wheel/tyre combinations!

No matter what you think, these Z4's are stiff no matter what. You are always going to feel those bumps in the road.

If you want a Cadillac..... go buy one.

will be looking around for a new set of wheels, would like to change them as soon as i decide on the style

First set:

Contact them, quote Z4 forum and they'll send you a custom payment link with around a 10% discount

Just to be clear these are replica wheels. Very good quality and used by many people on this forum who will vouch for quality. For a genuine set you'd likely be closer to £2000 new

For ref they're 437m

I drive on a set of 326s (19") none run flat and I love them - E85 2008 3.0si. They perform brilliantly, just slow down for humps and the road hollows when going at pace but if you are city driving, it should be a breeze and the car looks fab especially with this set. My garage is now back to its original layout (ahem ) following a much needed general clearout - just scroll down a little for the before and after shots.
