Alloy wheels

Hi guys.

Got a bit of an outstanding problem with my alloys.

3 out of 4 of them are in fantastic condition but one has laquer peel on the rim.

Ive approached 3-4 alloy wheel refurbishment shops around my part of the woods and they claim that they cant help me since they're diamond cut and just polished ally with clear laquer on top.

Sense of hope is lacking so I've been thinking of perhaps getting them powder-coated black. Maybe gloss or even a matt finish ....

If anyone has any advice on the refurb or opinions on the colour change then please shout.

If you're prepared to send one away, or you're ok with travelling give Lepsons a try in Kent. They could deal with diamond cut when I spoke to them.

A good alloy wheel refurbisher will be able to refurbish diamond cut alloys. We had two diamond cut wheels refurbished on our last car before we returned it at the end of the lease, cost was more than for a standard alloy though, from memory it was around £100 per wheel.

Been on the car for about 2 years. Standard use all year round. Stone chip and then laquer disease spread.

They look great against the black body work.

Its been lowered a little over 4 weeks and i do experience some rubbing against the plastic arch lining and some bottoming out issues but i can live with that and very little cosmetic damage is being done :evil:

Everything looks better on a coupe. The Roadster is so much better looking that you don't notice the accessories like you do on the hatchback

I hadnt noticed that it was a coupe. I was too busy admiring the 30cm arch gap
