As an update to yesterdays post about kerbing my alloys.
I managed to get a really helpful guy come to my house and do the refurb straightaway - for a very competitive price

They were Wheel Doctor (owned by Nigel Aldridge) and it was Billy Hilton that did the job.

EDIT: - they cover surrey/SW london area

Definitely knew what they were doing, the correct paint to use, and what should be in each layer.
No difficulties with the run flats either.

So have some pics to show the process, before pics and finished result.

Overall, I am extremely happy with the service provided, and the quality of the finish. Would definitely recommend. They can provide this service on wheels that are in pretty tatty conditions, and also do wheel welding if needed.

hi

do mind saying how muich they charged? i kerbed my left front recently and it makes me sad as it really sticks out as the rest of the car is mint!!

i had previously kerbed a wheel and managed to get the deal to do it for £35, but the amount of agro the guy got means i wont be getting that price again... :(

depends how much of the wheel is kerbed!.
How come the guy got a lot of agro?

for a total wheel refurb on a 19in wheel (so a very ropey wheel) is £75 inc VAT. (that'd be a 3-4 hour job)
Less for lesser degrees of refurb, and smaller wheels (I think <18in is about £48 inc)
Mine's took about 45 minutes.

Best give them a call.

i have similar kerbing to you, about 3-4 inches... they are only 18" MV2's so that is very reasonable.... Sytner wanted £75, so i asked the guy i bought it from and got it down, but i had a couple of phone calls and 3 emails from sytner asking who gave me the price etc...

Interesting, thanks for sharing, my damage is less than yours so on an 18" wheel hopefully it might not be too bad. Might give them a call.

Great... glad you got it sorted.

I kerbed a Golf GTI MarkV wheel within a week of owning the car and was gutted .. so i know how you must have felt.

Three out the four kerbed on mine  I did two within first couple of weeks in multi storey carpark couldn't see the Kerb at ticket machine turning ad low down and long bonnet
Don't know other one so putting it down to mrs sham :o
May just get all four changed to 18" and keep 19" as winter wheels 8)
