Looking to replace my standard 103 style 16's (still)- and came across these -
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/18-MARANELLO-ALLOY-WHEELS-BMW-Z4-ROADSTER-TYRES_W0QQitemZ350339198547QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Trims_Car_Rims_ET?hash=item5191d7ee53

I quite like the look of them - any thoughts/comments appreciated.... ;)

nice- i dont like non oem bu still nice- u would need to see all 4 wheels tho as if the rears arent stagered then they may look pants

I'm in Glasgow so I can pop down to their Unit in Ayr to have a word about staggered rears/tyres. Though i'm sure the tyres will be fine - after all the add does say "performance tyres"

Would 19's fit on my '55 2.0, without any complications? Don't get me wrong I think 19's would look the nuts!

19's would fit, but on the smallest of the engines you may actually feel the performance degredation as you're going from stock 16's right up, in effect 3 sizes. Ride will be harsher by a long way, part compenasated by tyre choice but look will be great. My need lowering by 15mm to 30mm to look right.

Really check the tyres as that's where they save huge money. I'd buy without and fit Falkens or some other respected mid price performance tyre.

Wheels look good but as CJ says - check what tyres they are ftting and if some unknown make then buy the wheels and fit a decent set of tyres, PS3s, Flakens - plenty to choose from and a quick search of the Forum will update you on others experiences of these tyres for you to make and informed choice.

19" has to be done if your going to upgrade your rims, plus Stagged is a must be too!

Nice though.

Joe.

I bought my wheels from dpmotors they are very good and a tyre upgrade is not that much more I went for the inovite dtm 19 staggard fit with avons around £900 all in with tyres and delivery

Not to mention that besides getting the "goat look" when not lowered, anything below 3.0i will have ridiculously small brakes making the car look like a superpoer wannabee :( I wouldnt go over 18 IMHO :)

Falkens 452's do seem to be a good price (£86 each - 18"s) for the rave reviews they get in here.... Lets see what the wheels seller offers me....

Thanks for your comments so far
