Alloy repair/refurb and Leather interior repair/refurb

Hi,

I am looking to sell my BMW Z4 2007 MSport 2.0L in the next couple of months. I am currently trying to get the car in a good condition to sell without breaking the bank (I know this can be hard). I have two questions for you guys.

Firstly My 18 inch alloy wheels are a bit scuffed and could do with a bit of a refurb/repair, I would like to keep this quite cheap as I am selling the car soon. How much should I be expecting to pay for something like this and does anyone know of any good places in the North East that I could take them?

Secondly is that the Black Leather interior seats/steering wheel are a little worn, nothing majorly wrong with them but you can tell especially on the seat that it has has some wear. Is this something I could do myself and if so what products would I need to do this. If not how much would I be expecting to pay to get this done and again if anyone knows somewhere in the North East that does this that would be great.

I will try and get some pictures later tonight when I get home for you guys to see what I mean and if it would be worth getting the above sorted before I sell it.

Finally I have been looking on Autotrader for how much the same spec Z4 goes for to see what price I could get for it. It would be nice to know how much you guys think I should put it on the market for. I Have given the spec of the car below:

Make/Model: BMW Z4 MSport
Color: Black
Engine: 2.0L
Mileage: 39,000
Interior: Full Black Leather Seats/Steering Wheel
Wheels: 18 inch Alloy wheels
Extras: Electric Door Mirrors, Heated Sport Seats, Have Spare Key
Service/MOT: Has been both Serviced and had an MOT in the past month.

You could start by using this for your leather repair;

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Leather-Repair-BLACK-Interior-Trims/dp/B004FM7FL6/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1434646924&sr=8-9&keywords=scratch+doctor+leather+repair

Good luck with the sale,

Cheers, tug.

Thanks for the info guys. Leeds is a little too far for me to travel as I live in Sunderland. I have added some images to the main post so you guys can see the leather seats.

That does seem a lot of wear for the mileage, but I suppose a lot of short journeys with lots if getting in & out maybe?

They've got a branch in Durham

I've seen other threads that recommend kiwi leather dye (for shoes) which show amazing before and after results on worn leather bolsters. I'm going to give it a try over the weekend.

I'd not mess about & just go for something like this: http://www.liquidleather.com/scuffs.htm

Receives good reviews and fairly cheap, especially if you need to pay to undo something properly cheap.

Assume you are not selling it here?

These results speak for themselves:

Thanks for the link looks like a great product. Would you let me know how you get on and if you think its worth it?

Thanks,

I have used Glipton products on my cars in the past and had very good results, their cleaner and restore kits work a treat

Rather than refurb the wheels, depending on how bad they are, I just used some matching paint. Unless you look for them, the scuffs are hardly noticeable. Especially in your case as you are selling the car, you're going to be beaten down on price anyway. That's the sales process.
