Hi,

I'm going to Eastbourne Saturday (bmautosport) to get some alloys and tyres for the 3.0i z. I keep changing my mind as to what I want...M6, CSL, 225 style etc!
Please could I have any pics or links, I'm after 18 or 19s and I'm not going to lower the car. Ideally in my same car colour (titanium silver) so I can see how it will look.

Thanks so much for any help given!!

if you end up going for CSL's then i think there are some going for £1500 in the buy and sell section.

Mark at BMAutosport is very helpful and has hundreds of photos. I popped in a couple of months ago when I was looking for a new set either CSL/M6/BBS reps but have stuck with the 108's at present.

They are very local to me and would be my first port of call as any problems I could just take them back and prices are good.

I'd not get M6 or CSL because they are either cheap replicas (M6) or won't fit very well (oem CSL)

Why not get some of those high quality CSL reps that are the right offset for non-M cars? Imho they are the best ones to get.

Dave

BMAutosport bought my old 108s off me, very helpful, though not that local so had to use the other car to get them down there...

As has been said many times before Search is your friend, but here are a couple of links one set look extremely stylish but then I'm biased.

Just search wheels / rims and you'll be amazed at what you turn up.

Brilliant cars & wheel choices going on there in those links....but then I'm also biased.

Cheers for replys!!

I do agree that going for reps is not the best choice, still toying with the idea of just getting my 108s refurbed/exchanged for refurbed set with falcons FK452s as seem to be a good budget tyre, budget is only a grand!

The pics with 19s on look great (Easty and RichardG  ) but you have both lowered your cars and I cant do that on the country lanes in deepest darkest Dorset! Plus do you suffer with rubbing of the inner wheel arch? How do you find the ride?

Still after pics of standard ride height with 19s and 18s, MV2s anyone on titanium silver zed?

Thanks Doug

I was just trying to give you food for thought, and showing you there are options other than BMW style wheels, I was going to go for CSL's but decided against it (the offset is wrong for a standard Zed and makes them stick out to far IMO), I even thought of Z4M wheels but the wife thought them a bit plain

I have noticed no reduction in ride quality with the 19's over the 17's I had fitted previously, as for the lowering it's 10 -15 mm, I live in South West Scotland and have a 45 min drive just to get to a Dual Carridge / Motorway so it's all country lanes for me aswell, I have had no rubbing issues either as the wheels I went for were as close to the correct offset for a standard Zed as I could get in a style I wanted.

I have included a link to a thread by another member who put 19" CSL reps on his car with standard suspension, unfortunately it's black not silver, the best pics are on the 3rd page.
