initially i thought what a waste of time but on reflection i bet they are quite a handy little tool
 
Seems like a solution to a problem that doesn't exist. I'm a habitual wheel swapper, and this would just slow me down!

Certainly isn't - a very useful and simple device. Using is believing :)
 
Had one included as standard with the tool kit on my A8. My local tyre place were fiddling around trying to get a wheel aligned. I suggested that they use it, but they were very skeptical.... anyway, after struggling for five minuted on the first wheel, they used it on the other... wheel went straight on, no trouble. They were very surprised... but used it every time from then on in. Soon as I saw these on eBay, I bought one for each BMW...
 
It does look a simple solution to what can be a bit of a pain sometimes, I fitted replacement wheels to mine yesterday and aligning the wheels was the longest part of the job, off to order one now. Thanks for pointing them out.
 
Check sizes though as the one I have for the X5 does not fit on my Z.
 
people were looking at doing a group buy for some titanium ones from America last year . these cost a tenth of what they did!!

Not quite true, they were stainless steel. I bought two in the end for just under £20 delivered. The rounded ends and stainleed steel means less damage to wheels and will outlast me :D
 
Wasn't there a group buy of these a while back :?

I can see them being useful
