All Wheel Alignment - when?

Having new rears fitted Friday (Goodyear Eagles Ass F1) to match the fronts (255s and 225 18s).

So when do you have a Hunter Alignment done? Straight after fitting or do I wait until the rears have a few hundred miles on them and bedded in?

depends on the wear on the current tyres i guess - if you have a tyre that is badly worn during to an alignment issue i'd get it done straight away
 
No problem with alignment on any wheel - reading forum feedback folk seem to recommend Hunter alignment. Zed handling better than I am but just wondering If this is an opportune time to have the alignment checked/done?

Thinking out loud - might it be better to wait until the start of the new season, say March/April?

(Just out to clean the Zed and wheels before the tyres are fitted - want it treated carefully. . . . . . .)

You don't need an alignment if just changing the tyres, unless you suspect there is an issue somewhere. If thats the case then you should rectify the issue, then have it aligned.

By the sound of it though yours is wearing evenly so no alignment will be required.
 
You should regularly have your alignment checked - our roads, and perhaps some unsympathetic driving, will knock the alignment out of spec. Get it checked every year - most tyre fitters with Hunters offer a free check, so it's hardly an expense to be concerned about.

To answer the OP's question, there is no evidence that I am aware of, to suggest there are any pros and cons to getting it aligned straight after fitting the new tyres.
 
Most places that i have been particularly with hunter system will do the check for free and only charge if alterations need doing. If this is the case i would get it checked while your at the tyre place and only pay to get the setup altered if there is a problem
