I was thinking of gently cutting under the edges then trying to pull them together and glue, as there is a little stretch in the material... Bit nervous though, may just leave it as I can't see it when I am driving

You are right mate-fingers crossed(thanks for asking)-been on a couple of motorway blasts,i have been told it may have cleaned it out?(not holding out much hope tho )
