All this for the price of a E92

We had a laugh whilst leaving work, debating E92 vs 911, if you won £20,000 what would you buy,
considering it would have to be used day to day as well.

It then occurred why spend £20k on 1 car when £20k would buy you 3 nice German rides

Z4 for work/economy
SL55amg for the weekend treat
GTI for the dogs and practicality

Nice thought but you'd have to be buying cars with either very high millage or a good 10 years old or both plus buying 3 cars would mean 3 lots of insurance, 3 lots of servicing and mots and any issues you might have arising. Whilst in one car your running costs would possibly be lower depending on what you went for.

I had a 20k budget earlier this year.....

You all know what I'm driving now

It is crazy that this is even a valid sentence, given the public perception of these cars! But yeah... that's how I think of mine as well, after all the man maths. :?

depends what you call high miles!! and yes all cars are pretty much 10 years old

the z4 is on 100k worth £4k
the sl is on 80k worth £11k
the gti is on 90k worth £5k

we all know that all 3 of these cars are prime examples of high mile runners

4k for the z4? Thats depressing for myself  not a 3.0 though? Just a guess by looking at the black headlamp inners.

Paid 6.5k for mine a couple years ago and wouldn't mind getting 5k back for it if possible
