All places where I can find VIN on the car

Soooo...

few months ago I bought a cheap Z4. And I'm trying to figure out it's history.
The VIN of the car is from an Italian Z4 from 2003. Awesome.

However I noticed a lot of parts from a UK car:
1. The seats are leather and heated. Yet there was no panel for the heated seats.
The VIN reports a basic cloth seat.
(I swapped the panel and now I have perfectly working heated seats)
I'm also pretty sure these seats are form the UK car as the airbag sensor seems to be emulated.
2. The passenger side mirror is from the UK car - when I set the mirror position I can put a finger between the glass and the cover.
3. The rear boot lid has a "card" from Portsmouth
4. The computer has no VIN sticker

5. There seems to be a plug from the auto gearbox

6. When I put a key in the driver's side door - it does not trigger the central (un)locking like a remote. Although there is no keyhole on the passenger side.
7. The headlights are UK

So I have a few theories:
1. This was an Italian car, crashed and fixed with UK parts car.
(the car definitely had an accident. And also UK parts cars are really cheap here)
2. It was stolen and the VIN was replaced.
3. It's a swapped UK car

So, two questions:
Where are all the VINs on the car?
What are the things different between right and left hand drive cars? So I can rule out the swap thing.

Assuming that you are in Italy and in possession of a LHD car?

It’s very unlikely to be a stolen/swapped UK car as I would think the process to convert to RHD would be uneconomic.

I know of three places where the VIN is, there may be others:
- at the base of the windscreen
- on the front right hand side suspension turret (on RHD vehicles)
- on a plaque on the rear bumper hidden behind the number plate
