I've been stalking you all on the site for some time, picking up hints and tips... For which I am already hugely grateful.
Mine is a story of unrequited love and a passion finally fulfilled...In 2007 I had a test drive in one of these :
Fully spec'd 3.0 Si Sport Auto, 6,000 miles on the clock. Alas, having never before or since had £30k to hand, it was not meant to be...
But then I got my mitts on a 2004 2.5 SE - reallocated company car, crap wheels but otherwise decent spec :
... Being a company car though, it had to go back after a year - I think I actually cried
, not least because I still didn't have a spare £30k and the 'best' car available for me to take on was a Focus ST. Fun, noisy, but really not grown-up at all and 3 years of company car left in it. I have spent those 3 years mumbling "I really miss my Z4" every time I saw one.
After what seems like a lifetime I have worked my a$$ off, conned the bank out of a loan and obtained authorisation from my better half... Finally, collected last weekend just in time for the weather, this one's All Mine :
