Managed to get a few on the phone - not DSLR quality, but they'll do!

Just pulled the trigger on a set of Vredstein Ultrac Vorti's - can't wait to see the back of the runflats ! :driving:
 
Thanks mate - I certainly dropped lucky when I was looking to move up to a coupe. It was my ideal combo and with the good history and mileage, I knew immediately it was coming home with me...
 
Lovely colour combination - if I had more patience I may have had that myself, but after I test drove one I just couldn't wait! Very happy with mine anyway.

BTW are you sure those wheels are MV2s - they look awfully like 135Ms to me.

Anyway enjoy now you have moved up!!!

Mv2 is the more commonly used name for m135's, the Same wheels as used on the e46 :)

OK, the style may be the same but I thought the offset on Z4s was different to E46s?

Just curious really as I keep wondering about spare wheels and a set of winter tyres, and it would be handy if the same ones would fit both!
 
Nope. E46 shares many aspects of the z4 & they're exactly same offsets & sizes including tyres.. The only difference being the z4 come with rft & the e46 did not.

Eventually got round to swopping off the hated runflats and sticking a set of Vredstein Ultrac Vorti's onto the car. Also took the opportunity to swap onto the set of 108's I've had sat in the garage for over a year now - a change is as good as a rest! In the meantime I'll get the MV2's refurbished and then decide which I like best - which will probably be the set of CSL's or ACS Type 3's I don't own yet! :roll:

Have to say the tyres are bloody fantastic! Even barely scrubbed in, the difference between these and the Bridgestone runflats is like night and day. Quieter, feel grippier and the front end just feels so much more stable. Tramlining has been reduced to almost imperceptible levels and the car feels eager to turn in and grip, where before I would have pussyfooted round a corner, I now have confidence in the predictability of how the front end will react as it loads up. Just brilliant. Can't wait to get them bedded in properly.

Now I'm happy that the wheels and tyres haven't upset anything, the next step is to get a set of spacers (also sat in the garage!) onto the car to improve the stance.
