Alignment?

Any shop with a hunter should be able to do a good enough job. Just be aware of the standard excuse for not doing front camber or rear toe as apparently they need a special adjuster tool.
Also watch them like a hawk if you take it to knock fit they have no idea about the difference between sport and non sport suspension.

I ended up taking mine for a KDS at BMW Solihull only cost £120 and they made a nice video with a hit list of things I might want to look at and think about fixing.

I've heard tales of shops that are unwilling to take the pins out of the front top mounts. And one place I went to couldn't adjust my rears properly even after I showed them how to.

Ideally find a local place that is used by car enthusiasts.

The problem seems to be that although most tyre places have the laser alignment equipment what you get is only as good as the person using it.

I took my Z4 to a local ex-Sytner Indy who used his alignment kit to set up his race cars and my car was transformed. :)

[ref]NW1[/ref], unfortunately it seems you're getting a lot of UK-based advice, but the principles remain the same.
Assuming this is the car you are looking to drive 650 miles home in then I would suggest you confirm that there is someone near to where you pick it up that can both fit tyres and align the car.
If you get new tyres fitted and drive 650 miles on them with alignment that is incorrect you could easily scrub them out on the edges.
In that case you'd be better to drive home on the old tyres if they are safe to do so.
Having said that, if the old tyres show no signs of uneven wear then it is likely that the alignment is more or less correct anyway.
