Alfa Romeo 4C - Official 'Production' Pictures

I can never understand why the designers of Alphas have never seemed to realise that their cars will be fitted with front number plates. :?

It'll be interesting to see what price this actually comes in at, & whether Alfa can make money on such a car where Lotus have struggled.
Looks like it'll fit between the supercharged Elise S, and the much faster Exige S.

I think one problem with the Elise was how basic and un-lux it was inside.

I love the look of the elise and it's performance, but couldn't live with the interior. I understand that the interior of the Alfa will be much better than the Lotus. Although I can't find where I've seen the pictures so can't substantiate that claim....
 
I always thought the aluminium & alcantara on mine to be quite classy, certainly better than naff plastics.
And it was quite acceptable with the mini "Le Mans racer for the road" vibe.

Biggest problem was just getting in & out & I reckon the Alfa will have the same problems.

Obviously I'll have to wait until the first production car is officially unveiled, but I don't particularly like the change.

I think all mock-ups are like that unfortunately, below is what I'm waiting to be released, however I'm sure it won't look as good as this pic and if not I'll stay with the Porsche 991 brand

As in you just think the image is wrong and that the actual production car will mimic the dimensions of the concept, or that the production car will just be higher and that this happens with many cars?

240 BHP and 0.60 in 4.5 seconds is pretty rapid, but £52k is a pretty steep price.
 
I ve been watching its progress since it was first revealed. I am a huge Alfa romeo fan and the announcement of the 4c was great news to me. This will be the first rear wheel drive alfa since the days of the s.z. ( I don't count the 8c cause effectively it was a maserati with alfa emblems). We want genuine alfas sirs. They learned their lesson and introduced the 4c (a genuine alfa built from scratch). It has decent specs. Actually if we take the current range of alfa models, this one seems as a huge leap ahead in terms of engineering stuff. Oh Come on, which other car comes with a carbon fibre chassis at this price range. It has to be great!!! If I had the money I would be seriously tempted :driving: .

Ps the prototype actually looks way sweeter than the press car :(

Ps2 I hope alfa won't let us alfisti down, as she did with the brera

For me, seeing it at Geneva, I think it's the best looking car released since the Z4M Coupé :driving:

895kg dry weight.

Supposedly the £52k price is for the "launch edition", the standard 4C is expected to have the same performance figures but come with a price tag of £45k.

For a car which looks this good, has figures as impressive as this and looks to have a good interior I think £45k is pretty reasonable.

Just hope the actual drive is as good as it looks.

A proper Cayman rival?
