Alfa 4C

Wow! Surprised it's taken so long to see one but they are rather rare and hold value well. I think they are beautiful, the side profile is amazing. The front and rear can be a bit hit and miss at different angles.

Pretty car, sod all luggage space and a first service that costs somewhere north of £1000, which includes a mandatory body inspection taking many hours.

Always lots (at least more than there are Duettos) at Alfa (correct spelling) days, which sends all the Mito owners into slavering masses..

Ive heard of these being called the Italian Elise, they're not supposed to handle as well though :o

I think they are based on the Elise.

Pretty, but it's an Alfa which means after a couple of years it'll be falling to bits and have various electrical gremlins.

I plan to go and test drive one and treat myself for my upcoming 30th, they sounds amazing and look stunning :driving:

I once got jiggy with a stunningly beautiful woman, but she ended up being about as exciting as a beige bath mat in bed. This is the Alfa 4C aparently.

Dream garage stuff if you want some car porn to look at, but seemingly not for those who enjoy driving if the reports are to be believed.

I'd own one though :-)

When we where in California last year there was either a press day or a club meet. As there where 20-30 of them driving down Pacific highway 1 great road and these looked great on it. A bit small compared to all the other American cars.

No, they've got nothing to do with Lotus. They use a carbon fibre tub, which makes them closer conceptually to a McLaren than anything else. Generally they have been panned by the motoring press for being something less than the sum of it's parts, but I have a suspicion that they have that undefinable thing in spades - character :driving:

I came so close to signing on the dotted line for a 4c, but there was one thing that just didn't sit well with me and that was the 4 cyl motor.. They look stunning and go well to a point, but the pseudo exoticaness of it just turned me off. More fool me as I'm sure they're great machines, but I couldn't imagine longevity in the enjoyment department. Bloody stunning though can't help but think a v8, slightly longer version would make me and my money long lost friends very quickly.

They had two of these on display at Carfest North. Booked me a test drive, although I haven't heard from them yet. Totally impractical as has been mentioned. The boot space is about big enough to store a small handbag in. If you were away for the weekend I seriously couldn't see where you woukd put any baggage.
