Aldi Compressor

Just been and fetched mine, looks like they had about 3 left.

Didn't get the 15m hose though, seemed a bit steep at £40. About to unbox it & see if it came with any hose at all.. got the cutter, the impact wrench and the drill

Oh and I should add, I have no idea what I'm going to use mine for, but had to buy it anyway 8)

The hose is good to wall mount as it auto recoils and keeps everything tidy. You can get all sorts of hoses at Machine Mart

same :)

although I had to make things up to justify it with the missus, I equated it to a dialysis machine and I needed it :)

Sundays and thursdays are Aldi special days when they get in their offers.

Their hillwalking, running and cycling gear is great too, at a fraction of the price of some special makes and if they only last one season you can bin them and get new ones at that price.

Unpacked and ran mine up tonight. Nice little bit of kit.

Def. need the hose though as it doesn't come with one. Powerful enough and ran a few tools real well, just need to sort a few adapters as my Jeeps have OBA and I run different fittings, so need to standardise. The hose is a clever ratchet and auto recoil, so while it looks expensive it's way better than a coiled hose twanging all over the garage.

Agree about the hiking gear. I've an Aldi coat, built in fleece, hood etc. They get knackered off road so a shame to destroy a Berghaus when they are at tops 25% of the price.

Happy :)

Thought as much but hadn't opened the box to be sure.. oh well, back to Aldi tomoro. Glad you like it

Well I got around to fitting it all one evening last week. Located the compressor under the bench and mounted the airhose under the bench in a central position in the garage, so it can be pulled out between the cars and at 15m reaches the rear of cars on the drive with ease.

Tested it in anger today and I had to rip a damaged shock off the Jeep and take the wheels off. Wow - what a bit of kit when coupled up to airguns, wrenches, tyre inflators and the like. Ample power to keep pace with tools. Can't believe I've not had one at home before, for the ease and convenience :)

I will try mine shortly when I change the winter wheels from the X5 back to the summer ones. Will be interesting to test, I got all the air blowers as well so want to see if it will shift some of the dust in the car :)

Wonder if they have any of these left? Sounds like a useful tool. This Sunday's stuff is geared towards bikers...

I did not buy this particular one, I bought the Sealey at Christmas. About 10 times the price, but doubtful it is 10 times the quality

Coalville (Leics) Aldi have three of them plus the accessory kits but I am not sure I would use it that much so didn't buy one. Plus, it is a big old beast and I have barely enough room in my garage as it is.

Anyway, if anyone wants one and your local Aldi is sold out, they had three at that branch FYI.
