Alcantara Steering Wheel Retrim

After seeing the thread by bmwZ on his m-steering wheel i've decided i want to get mine re-trimed in black alcantara, i've had 1 quote already to thicken the wheel and cover it with alcantara, £250! Is that really the sort of money i should be paying for a re trim bearing in mind i could buy one for the same price -
