Wow. Very nice. Loving those seats, and your steerig wheel must fit in well with the interior. Can the plastic part of gear nob be trimmed in alcantara, similar to the CSL one?

Great effort though

Thanks :D

Which plastic part on the gearknob? its leather and aluminium on the knob today. CSL has all chrome knob because of the SMG layout...

My mistake, I meant the black leather part

At the moment it doesn't look great TBH, but maybe with a bit more alcantara in the car it could look better.

I generally prefer leather though. :)

It's a pig of a job, but the door cards. Ever since I found some carbon seats online (weight about 8kgs) I can't stop thinking about getting a set and having them trimmed in Alcantara with matching door cards, gaiter etc.

bmwZ's car looks immense - one of my favourite Zs, unlike Peddy I don't actually think it needs the door cards doing.

Oh god... I can see this being another project... on the list (I actually want to leave well enough alone, but I almost can't help myself!)

Thanks for nice comments :D

The gear knob, handbrake and doorcards will stay in leather, because the seats also have some leather in them. But I want to have the stiching in white on the doorscards, to match the seats

I have also the M speedo installed in my 2.2 now :D :D Have some issues with the DSC, but will try to fix this. Everything besides the DSC working well, also the oil temp

Whow, I do like the seats very much!
Was it an easy mod?
Are the manual or electric?

I had to modify with new brackets on the floor to get them to fit, its not easy, but its possible
They are manual..

bmwZ - amazing piece of work to create the entire interior look that you have.

As an enthusiastic Zed modder I can appreciate what you've done, why and the pain to achieve some of the simple looking changes

My worry will be the durability of the wheel despite all the effort of gloves and cleaner. Gets a lot of punishment for such a small component.

Thank you very much :)
Yes, I know a alcantara wheel get worn really fast. But with real good care I think it will stay fresh :D If not, I will bay a new one

Seats look great. They're £1k a piece though aren't they? Even used...

Definitely updates the car though. So hats off.

It's on my list of 2012 jobs to start trimming some bits in alcantara. Only thing I'd change would be some coloured stitching. But that's just nit picking.
