Alarms and the Stealership!!!!

Dang, so i just installed the alarm kit in the Zed and now i need the car programed to activate it. 40-50 bucks right? WRONG the dealer quoted me 140 bucks just to plug it up and maybe more if it takes longer than an hour for them to figure it out!!! Thats BS!!! :thumbsdown: Does anyone know a good place to get this done at in San Antonio TX's? Or better yet how much would it cost to get the software and the computer to do it myself =) (yeah i know lik 15k or something crazy)
 
Most shops will charge you an hour's labor for any programming, as they have a 1 hour minimum. You can 1) wait and get the alarm activated when you're having another service done so combine the labor, or 2) find the list of programming options and have some other programming done at the same time - sort of "while you're in there" to get the most for your money.
 
good idea, but what else can i get programed? They already said they don't know how to do the drop top from the key fob.
